On October 28, the Auto
Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation gave a brand-new winter coat to every
elementary school student in the Chester Upland School
District.
The event, held at Main Street Elementary
School in Upland, concludes the foundation’s month-long distribution
effort, during which over 37,000 new winter coats have been given to
students.
In addition to the coat giveaway, the
foundation also presented a $5000 check to the Chester Upland School
District to create a school uniform bank to provide uniforms to students
with hardships.
The Conicelli dealerships have
participated in the annual coat drive since its inception in 2008, and
are proud to have been a part of this important effort which has donated
over 177,000 new coats to students in 85 school districts, YMCAs,
social service agencies, homeless shelters and
more.
